Sourced from a single family, single estate in the Mount Ida region in Crete, Greece 🇬🇷, this reserve-line Organic Koroneiki has been lab tested (Nov. 2025) at a remarkable, medicinal-level 834 mg/kg in polyphenols (the power antioxidant found in olive oil)

Each year, this multi-generational Cretan family produces around 4K litres of Organic Koroneiki variety Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Greece’s most common olive used for olive oil. Of last year’s batch, Olive Day®️ acquired 1K of the 4K litres for our Canadian and American customers.

This lot was imported into Canada in a 1000L food-grade stainless steel (SS304) container and bottled into glass in Mississauga. Remarkably, and uncommonly in the industry, we ordered this container to be engineered with a nitrogen valve on its top, and the farming and milling families inerted the tank with nitrogen for its trans-atlantic voyage. (The oxygen in the empty cavity was replaced with nitrogen, dramatically reducing or eliminating oxidation) In other words, when bottled at facility in Mississauga, ON., the evoo is as fresh as being bottled at source in the Mediterranean.

A perfect Organic olive oil for sipping daily. And pairs excellently with white fish, pastas and lasagna, salads and vegetables.

Interesting facts about this evoo

This organic (EU- and Canada-certified) Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes olive groves in the Mount Ida region, the largest mountain in Crete, Greece's largest island.

Interestingly, in Greek mythology, Mount Ida is the birthplace of Zeus, the King of the Gods, and is where he was raised.

The Koroneiki is the most common olive in Greece that is used for the production of olive oil. (The Kalamata is thought to be the most common olive that's used for table olives)

This Olive Day® Reserve organic evoo comes from a single estate, single family. It's harvested early in the season (Early Harvest) and is cold extracted.

A further sign to the commitment to quality of this farming family, they transport their olives during harvest days in a customized refrigerated truck to the oil mill, in an effort to keep the temperature of the olives low. (Going above and beyond the industry standards of what cold extraction is)

The container that this evoo was imported into Canada in is SS304 (food-grade stainless steel), and remarkably, it was inerted with nitrogen (the oxygen in the empty cavity was replaced with nitrogen)
